Aberdeen Group’s original research in this area suggested PSA could produce revenues of some $1.3 billion by 2003. However, in a newer report the figures have been revised upwards substantially, with Aberdeen now predicting PSA market revenue is set to reach nearly $3 billion by 2004 (see 'Market Future').
“Service organisations must create their own services supply chain, with closer ties to customers and other partners, in order to increase profitability and efficiency,” is how Aberdeen director of research, Dave Hofferberth, outlines the situation.
