CGEY cuts top-level pay and axes 750 jobs

CGEY: market conditions in UK particularly difficult

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young has admitted to over-capacity in the UK, as it seeks to cut a further 750 jobs. The company has told its 9,500 UK staff that it is looking for volunteers to take redundancy, early retirement or career breaks.

CGEY announced the compulsory redundancy of 277 employees in May this year.
