Glossary of terms
Adaptors: Pre-programmed links between an EAI hub and a specific application interface, at a process level. Adaptors hide the complexity of the application’s programming interface. Traditionally, this task has been completed by bespoke inhouse utility software that is costly to write and maintain.
BizTalk: A framework developed by Microsoft that uses the extensible mark-up language (XML) to enable data transfer between businesses.
