In May 2002, Hewlett-Packard Company and Compaq Corporation merged to create a single world-leading technology company, the new HP. The new HP is organised into four business groups:

  • Enterprise Systems Group (ESG) – offering servers, storage, networking technology and the management software required to build infrastructure solutions.
  • HP Services (HPS) – consulting and services to create IT infrastructures.
  • Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) – internet-savvy printers, digital imaging solutions and digital publishing systems.
  • Personal Systems Group (PSG) – personal computers, notebooks, handheld devices, personal storage, emerging internet-access devices and mobility technologies.
