Atos Origin buys KPMG Consulting UK and Holland

Rand Blazer: strengthening ability to service global clients

European IT consultancy Atos Origin is buying KPMG Consulting in the UK and The Netherlands for €657 million – to form a combined organisation with 30,000 staff in more than 30 countries.

Atos Origin says the deal – which is subject to partner, shareholder and regulatory approval – will enable it to offer a full set of design, build and run consulting services to its global client base. It will also increase substantially Atos Origin’s overall size in the UK market.
