A: In the current economic circumstances, it may be better for an organisation not to spend time and money on technology upgrades, but to look at developing truly collaborative behaviour in its key relationships throughout the supply chain.
Such an approach delivers tangible benefits, and ensures that the processes and the ground are fertile for automation later, but the costs are nothing like the big capital spend required for new systems.
