Transparency is vital in creating consultancy-vendor partnerships,
says David Bailey of Impact Plus.
Above suspicion
In determining the value a client can derive from close working
between software suppliers and consultancies, it is important
to consider what the client company needs from its external
advisors and what it values from their contribution.
When a colleague and I founded Impact Plus some 14 years
ago, we had a clear view as to what we wanted to be and we
saw independence in every sense – be it bank loans, accountancy
relationships or alliances with IT suppliers – as the most
important attribute towards that end.
