Best market sectors

Firms share an equally conservative prediction about which markets and industry sectors represent the best opportunities at the moment. More than half (61%) identify the public sector in one guise or another as the key area for IT activity, followed by different elements of the financial services industry (see Figure 2).

For example, 14% of CSIs see retail banking as offering good opportunities, while 13% feel investment banks will be spending on IT and associated services and 11% reckon the insurance sector will be following suit.
