The latest Consultants’ Advisory survey shows a significant shift in the requirements for business systems in the future. The days of functionality checklists are long gone: current requirements are all about business processes and e-commerce.

The primary focus, as the economy starts to pick up, is naturally with customer-focused processes. The survey also finds that finance departments have to provide more detailed information to a wider range of managers, not as hard copy reports through the post but as real-time distributed systems.
