One obvious route for companies reluctant to take the plunge
is to use an external service such as an ASP (application
service provider) to supply their PSA solution. This has the
advantage of offering a fast implementation – as 24% of our
sample point out. However, there seem to be few other positives.
Just 12% feel this will cut the costs involved and only 8%
reckon it represents a low-risk choice.
Meanwhile, 40% of companies can see no advantages in a hosted
solution, while 50% profess to be worried about having key
information and data held externally and 48% have concerns
about the cost of any such service.
