Project management activities, and the specialist software which support them, used to be the preserve of a few experts. The biggest change in the last couple of years has been the way project management has begun developing into a mainstream application.

One of the major factors in this has been Microsoft’s entry into this market. For users who have already standardised on the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office desktop products, adding a project management package from the same stable makes a lot of sense.
